As a result of the current cold snap, temperatures have dropped below the freezing point. For many of us, the immediate reaction is to turn up the heating at home or in the office. But is that the most sustainable choice?
One way to beat the chill is to dress for it. Putting on an extra layer, such as a jumper or fleece, keeps you warm without having to fire up the central heating boiler even further.
Today, we are having a jumper day at our campus. Many colleagues pulled on a woolly and turned down the heating to help cool the planet. What we did more? We beat the cold with hot chocolate!
